Privacy Policy
How Trouve handles your information. Last updated February 18, 2026.
The Short Version
We collect the minimum amount of data needed to make Trouve work. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. Here's a plain-English overview of what we do and don't do.
What We Collect and Why
When you use Trouve, we need to store some information to make the service work. Here's exactly what that includes:
Account Information
When you sign in (via Sign in with Apple or email), we receive and store:
- Your email address — so we can identify your account and contact you if there's an issue
- An account identifier from your sign-in provider — so we can securely link your sessions to your account
We don't ask for your name, phone number, date of birth, or anything else. If you use Sign in with Apple with email hidden, we only ever see the relay address Apple provides.
Your Alerts
Your alert configurations (brands, categories, sizes, keywords, price ranges, and so on) are stored on our servers. This is how we're able to monitor Vinted on your behalf and send you notifications when something matches. Without this, the app wouldn't work.
Device Information
When you register a device for push notifications, we store:
- A push notification token — provided by Apple so we can send notifications to your device
- Your iOS and app version — so we can diagnose issues and ensure compatibility
- Your IP address — for rate limiting and abuse prevention
We don't collect your device name, advertising identifier, or any hardware identifiers.
Usage Data
We collect lightweight, anonymous analytics to understand how the app is being used and where people get stuck. This includes things like whether you completed onboarding, which screens you visited, and how long sessions last. This data is used solely to improve the app and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
Notification Interaction
When we send you a push notification and you tap on it, we record that the notification was opened. This helps us understand whether alerts are useful and working correctly.
AI-Assisted Keywords
If you use the keyword suggestion feature, the context of your alert (category, brands, price range, and your text prompt) is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate keyword suggestions. Google processes this data according to their own privacy policy. No account information is included in these requests.
Support Tickets and Feedback
If you submit a support request from the website, we store the email address and message you provide. If you cancel a subscription and leave feedback, we store that too. Both are used only to improve the service.
What We Don't Do
To be clear:
- We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
- We don't run ads. There is no advertising in Trouve and no ad-related tracking.
- We don't track you across apps or websites. We have no SDKs, pixels, or cross-app tracking.
- We don't collect your contacts, photos, location, or browsing history.
- We don't share data with Vinted. We check Vinted listings on your behalf but never send your information to them.
Third-Party Services
Trouve relies on a small number of external services to function:
- Auth0 — Handles authentication (sign-in). Auth0 receives your email and sign-in credentials. They process this data under their own privacy policy.
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — Delivers push notifications to your device.
- Apple App Store — Processes all subscription payments. We never see your payment details.
- Google Gemini API — Powers the keyword suggestion feature. Receives alert context only, no personal data.
Subscriptions
Trouve Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through the Apple App Store. We don't collect, store, or have access to any payment or billing information. We only store whether your account has an active subscription and when it expires, so we can unlock the right features.
Data Security
Your data is stored in a secured database. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. We follow standard security practices to keep your information safe, though no system is completely immune to risk.
Data Retention
- Matched items (Vinted listings that matched your alerts) are automatically deleted after 7 days
- Account data (email, alerts, devices) is kept for as long as your account is active
- Anonymous analytics are periodically cleaned up
When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our systems, including your alerts, devices, matched items, and notification history.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete your account at any time from within the app — this permanently removes all your data from our servers
- Manage your alerts — create, edit, or delete them whenever you like
- Disable push notifications through your device settings
- Request your data by emailing us at contact@nyneapps.com
For Users in the UK and EU (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)
If you are in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, or Switzerland, you have rights under the UK GDPR or EU GDPR. The legal basis for our processing is:
- Contract performance — We process your account information and alerts because it's necessary to provide the service you signed up for
- Legitimate interests — We process anonymous usage analytics to improve the app
Your rights include access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to object. To exercise any of these, email us at contact@nyneapps.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
For California Users (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- We do not sell your personal information
- We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
- You can request disclosure of the data we hold about you
- You can request deletion of your data
You will not be treated differently for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
Children's Privacy
Trouve is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
